Default Radeon 6850 for CLOD?

I need to upgrade my ancient ATI 4670, and I'm looking at this HIS Radeon 6850 with 1GB ram. My older card also has 1GB of ram, but this is obviously way faster - and within my budget.

Does anyone have an idea if this will allow me to play on mid/high-ish settings?

I play with a Gigabyte HD 6850 at High/Mid settings succesfully without any problems except the common one like micro-stuttering.

I upgraded from 4670 to a Sapphire 6850 HUGE improvement and yes you can run CLoD at med-high settings with it.

Not, actually it's a little bit slower.

But it runs cooler, has better crossfire scaling. There are some reviews that will provide you with the exact differences .

ok, I have HD 5850 overclocked to max CPU/GPU speeds with stock ATI o`clocking software. Does it make sense to go for HD 5950 or 6850 - I mean, are they noticeably faster ?

I would go for a 5870 or 6950, see http://www.techspot.com/review/349-amd-radeon-6950/

yes, but overclocked 5850 is in fact at 5870 speeds and 6950 is top of the line and therefore overpriced - makes sense to wait for next breen perhaps

Hello

I have a Phenon II X6 with 4gb and HD 6850 and not sure if i have made the correct settings for run it High/med Settings.

Can you attach the conf.ini and the CCC settings?

Over water i have 36 fps and land somthing like 20 fos , so i know that there is something wrong with my setup, because i heard the HD series 6000 are working good.

Thank you.
