Default Has anyone seen the striped horizon?

I just upgraded to an AMD HD 6970. Previously I had the usual box / black lines in the distance but now this has appeared...

It's a lot brighter outside of the cockpit and looks really unnatural. Anyone seen this before or know how to get rid of it?

Looks unatural?, I have seen that in real life many times, particularily when there is a temperature inversion layer

Well I guess the point is that it wasn't there with my other GPU. Here's another view:

I have exactly the same as well as the black line out to sea and over land, can't say it looks like an inversion to me, I get the same effect looking inland too. If it was a single line then maybe

Looks like it's only with the 6970's then.

Same problem with my ATI 6950 2GB and Catalyst 11.3 on Win7 (x86), I have those 3 smooth lines or the more sharp-boxed shaped lines, depends on the mission location it seems. But they are always there.
