Config File Tweaking

Hello fellow fans of IL-2 series.

Purchased this game on the day of my bday in australia and after installing it even with the recommended specs i am receiving very poor frame rates on medium settings. I have been a long time player of the IL-2 series but i have never have had to dramatically tweak the games config files until Cliffs of dover.

My Specs are:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 at 2.4 Ghz
Nnvidia GTS 250 at 1 Gb
4Gb of RAM

Any suggestions would be helpful thank you

You can overclock your CPU but with this GPU you can play only at 1152 or 1280 resolution I think. Wait till the patch a couple of days to see if it helps.
