Default Once downloaded, wher are the install files so I can save them and not d/l again?

Just wondering where they are saved to in Steam so that if I have a PC crash (I usually do at some point) and have to reinstall Windows. If I can copy them to a storage drive after install, I wont have to download the 4Gb of files again?

Cheers, MP

If you right click the game in your library, and select the "Backup Game Files" option you can export a dvd sized file with an exe that will let you reinstall. I've done this for all the big games I've downloaded with Steam. Just copying your steam/steamapps directory may or may not let you re-use the files.
