Game does not launch correctly

Hey
I downloaded my game from steam the other day. When i try to launch it it loads up to this point (see image) . It never makes it to a main meue or anything just looks like it tries to launch a game. Also the Plane and cross hair never go away and are another window. I have installed all the files in the redist folder and still no joy. If anyone has had similar probs or know a fix it would be greatly apreciated if you ould help out

Please post at least basic info on your PC. That would help a lot

Windows 7 32bit
Intel core2 q6600 2.40GHz
4 gig Ram
Nvidia Gtx 470 which has the latest beta drivers
