Default Thread for people who cannot load a mission (errors, freezes, crashes)

Ok, still the same. I could play the game before the first patch. I had only a Geforce 9800GT and it performed badly, but I could dogfight over the water at a low resolution.

Patch came, first I got an error when loading the mission, any mission at all, it just wouldn't let me play.

Today I bought a new card, nVidia gtx560, because the old one is not supported so I thought the problem was there. I still cannot load up a mission, any mission. Gets to 95% and then freezes. Now I'm not one to whine over in-game bugs or anything, but I bought a game that simply will not play. And I want it solved.

I don't know how many more people have this issue but let our voices be heard. I can understand that the game is buggy and that it will have issues for some time to come yet, but for crying out loud at least make me able to play the thing.

One more thing, why does my water look like this?

The water close to my plane looks normal but a certain distance away it looks like the green stuff in the picture... I tried decreasing settings, doesn't help...

I have the latest from nvidia site (266.66), I was recommended against installing a 267-something beta driver that I got on CD with the card as it causes problems....so that means I'm stuck?

When I load a mission it loads just fine but when reaching 100% I can start to hear the sound of the game but the screen itself is stuck in loading screen.

I can even fire my guns LOL

Go into your config.ini and change VisibilityDistance=3 to

VisibilityDistance=2

Worked perfect for me!
