Default gamw wont start due to virus....

Hey.. antivirus, keeps shouting CLod is a virus.... this is obviusly idiotic but its preventing me to start the game: ideas?

Are you using AVG? It seems to be reporting a false-positive on that file when you start up.

yes... but i cant start the game.... i think AVG decided to blow that particualr file up into bits....

if you didn't take any action then file should be ok. I have disabled resident shield for the time being and will put the file as an exception later.There is a thread somewhere detailing what to do.

i unninstaled AV, and got the file from steam again... it still doesnt start the game....ideas?

Had the same problem and just uninstalled AVG and installed Microsoft Security Essentials instead. Try to uninstall CoD and then re-install it again completely, it might sound like a hassle but it will just take you longer time to try to figure something else out.
