Have these pilots had too much schnapps?

On several single missions that involve relatively large numbers of German bommbers ( mostnotable 'Large London raid and its various versions, but in some Stuka missions as well..) the AI bombers are all over the place in an improbably drunken aerial ballet of sorts instead of staying in formation.They eventually tuck it all up briefly then go a bit crazy again.Very irritating while trying to blitz a picturesque English harbor or town.Any ideas?
