Default Battle Of Britain

Has the game moved away from the Battle of Britain?, I ask because so far we haven't seen any bombs being dropped on towns, cities or airfields. It seems the game is much more focused on channel skirmishes rather than the heart of the battle. I really hope that in the single player campaign that flying for the Axis there are low level airfield attacks etc. However after Luthier said that the airfields struggle more with FPS drop than flying over cities Im begining to think these types of missions will be avoided.

Wait and see, because the developers probably won't waste their time responding and any other "opinions" are likely to be conjecture.

Historically I didn't happen that often.

The only significant low level attack was on 18th August 1940 when nine Do17 of 9/KG76 crossed the channel at 50 feet and successfully attacked Kenley without interception whilst another nine low level Dornier hit Biggin Hill the same morning.

http://www.battleofbritain1940.net/0028.html

The losses were heavy with the low flying planes vulnerable to fighters and a number of the Dornier lost to PAC (rockets firing cables with parachutes attached) defending the airfield. The Luftwaffe abandoned the tactic, presumably because it was impossible to synchronize the low level attacks with high level attacks and fighter defenses.

It really is a shame that the Do-17 isn't flyable from the start, real magnificent plane it was. We've got the Ju-88 but I can't pretend it's the pencil Anyway back on topic, when Germany's interest shifted to London, weren't most of the bombings at night instead of full daylight missions with fighter escort?

Just because we don't see some bomber action in the few videos, you think that we won't have it in the game??
If so, why put playable bombers in COD?
We haven't seen bad weather so far. Will the game only allow perfect weather conditions?
OMG.
I really think that some people shoud simply stop discussing pointless stuff. How do you think we can know what the single player will be like, based on some preview videos?
Please wait and discuss this AFTER the release. Because no one here will be able to answer your question before the 25 of march.

The campaign will surely have a stab at doing a watered down version of the BoB airfield and London attacks. With only twenty bombers to play with though, convoy attacks and raids on the Chain Home system are the only aspects of the battle that will be near realistic numerically.

I'd hoped cod would pull off some wizardry by making distant AI simplified, allowing hundreds of bombers (a bit like EAW) but it seems not to be.

Ahh, the clairvoyante at work, why is there always a negative touch??

Just to remember, expectations are homemade!

I've also only seen one RAF airfield so far. So it must be mostly airstarts for the RAF and all airstarts for LW. Never mind airfields whats up with France, they might not of even modeled it. So there's no point in making large heads as they won't be able to find their way back anyway.
