From the 4.10 Guide:
Each torpedo type in IL-2 has its optimum drop parameters, of course some error is allowed, but not too much. • LT F5W (Italian Whitehead) 100m, 300Km/h • LT F5B 40m, 250Km/h • Mk13, Mk13a 30m, 205 km/h • Mk13 late 180m, 400 km/h (this torpedo had a much wider range of drop than the early one) • Type91 30m, 240 Km/h • Type91 late 60m, 330 km/h (this torpedo had a much wider range of drop than the early one) • 45-17 30m, 205 km/h Some questions: -What plane(s) carry the Mk13a and Mk13 late? -The IL-2T carries the 45-12. I don't see that listed above. Aviar

I think the Mk13 is the american torpedo? So, the A-20, and the TBM/TBF would carry it I would have thought.

The LT F5W has its limits at 100m and 300km/h, okay, but why do i get a "wrong angle" when i drop it at 50m at 250 km/h???
Thats well inside its limits. Must those torpedoes dropped at those limits to work?

Yes there is a tolerance around those numbers above, but mainly you should drop at those numbers, not inbetween a range.

S!
Are those torpedo values maximum allowable or the average value? There for sure are minimum and maximum values for successful drop and if these values are average maybe it could be stated in the readme to avoid confusion ![]() |

There is stated that those are the optimum numbers.

Thanks for clarifying that. And yes, guilty of not reading the readme inside out ![]() |

Still wondering about the different versions of the US and IJN torps as there is no documentation on when they come in to service, and they are not reflected in the arming screens.

Also, I'm still hoping for an answer about the 45-12, which is carried by the IL-2T, but not listed in the Readme. Aviar

Looks like there is another Russian torp as well, carried by the A 20 C, the 45-36AV-A.
Is there a comprehensive list of what we actually have, and when they are offered by year?
