Hello everybody,
Bought the bundle yesterday on Steam after playing the demo, and I was thrilled to get started. But the game simply wouldn't launch and still won't as of today. To be more specific: After I launch the game from steam, mow.exe pops up in the process explorer but goes away quickly. The demo ran perfectly, and Red Tide also runs fine! I tried re-downloading, deleting registery.blob, my firewall is on "Game-mode" and the whole Steam folder (including all the files in the folder, like the Men of War directory ) is set as an exception in my Firewall. What could be the problem? If you need more information, just ask away! Last edited by GemCollins; 10-15-2010 at 10:18 AM. |

Yes, I'm suspecting the same. Created a support ticket at Steam Support and I'll update this topic for you guys if they can give me a fix.
UPDATE: I installed the latest crack and now it's running fine, thank god for pirates. Although this is going to cause some issues with the anti-cheat module online, obviously. I hope this is a temporary fix. UPDATE2: Crack causes NO conflicts with steam/anti-cheat module, so this is good enough for me. Problem resolved! UPDATE3: Setting compability mode to Windows 2000 also seems to resolve this problem. I recommend this fix as the crack is outdated version-wise and won't let you join updated servers.
