Arcade mode

I just started to try and figure out this game. Bought it last year. Played it once in arcade mode and have not played it since. Tried to play it last night. Had just updated th PS3. The game went into an update also. I have a sidewinder force feedback (pc) joystick and wanted to see if it would work with IL-2. Had it plugged in when I started the game. The game loads plays the intro then says push start. Push start. Game goes to main menu. Every option insists I finish tutorial. Can not find difficulty settings or arcade mode ANYWHERE. Manual says it should have one but see no option for it. Any ideas?

The tutorials are all in arcade until you get to the realistic tutorial and finally the simulator tutorial.

once you have done those, you have full access to everything.

I thought there was an arcade mode that let you jump right in without the tutorials. I think I played it when I first got the game without doing the tutorials. I played MS Combat flight simulator quite a bit and wanted to get my toes wet without a bunch of tutorials.

unfortunately the tutorials are mandatory, not all of them just the first few, then the last arcade one to get the realistic one, to get the simulator one. They really don't take long though, all of them only took me 40 minutes (and thats every last one)

OK. I just remember playing arcade when I first got the game. Did that change with the patch?
