Talking Home Of The Underdogs

Seeing people reminiscing about the good old days in the the Bob SoW thread reminded me about a site, the home of the underdogs.
Basically this site stores links to the old abandon ware and so on.
Red Baron 3d, A10 Cuba etc etc.
Some are shareware some are free.
The link is to the simulator pages, but I'm sure you'll find something on the site that will have you all in the grips of nostalgia.

Dosbox is the program to use for the dos games by the way.

Good find - but the only game I really would like to play again would be Flight Unlimited from Looking Glass Studios. I had a crap PC at the time and was too young to really comprehend everything - but now I just can't get it to work anymore.
Ironically Flight Unlimited 2 is listed there.

So if anyone knows how to get Flight Unlimited running on a modern computer I'd be thankful if you'd share the wisdom!

you might want to remove that link.
Some of those games available to download free are still under copyright.

It's a terrible pity Matrix have been buying up a lot of ancient abandonware and repackaging it for modern PCs. $50 is a lot for a wrapper to games that were free on the web for years.

The V-For Victory series were outstanding -- the only operational level games with something like realistic supply. If you've any interest in that sort of game give them a go.
