Default Crashing when trying to start a SP/MP game

I am currently suffering constant crashing in mow. My drivers are up to date and mow is also updated. I ran defragmentation and cache file verification in steam too. This is the error message I get when trying to start a game in SP or MP. Any help is appreciated.

Ok this is what I see:

Render: onExecute = start of a SP or MP game graphics loading
getReady.deviceLost = A device error, something on your part is not functioning right
screen: set_mode = Adjusting game resolution

So by what I understand, its a resolution error. Adjust graphics setting and screen resolution for the game, try to play and tell me if you get anything different. I'll need to know the details of your monitor and desktop resolution if this doesn't work out.

Okay I followed your advice and turned down the resolution to bare minimum and it magically started working My native resolution is 1680x1050 and refresh rate 60hz. I really don't why it did that because it had earlier worked just fine. I tried first to bring the resolution to 1280x? and it did'nt work out. Massive thanks for the help
