chat/server stat msges

well for some odd reason whenever i try to force the resolution to a widescreen resolution in the conf.ini, chat and online server stat msges don't show up at all. Even if i move the chat window. Any ideas?

Sorry i F'ed up, here's the config that messes up

Running on a gforce 8800 gts 512 windows 7 64 bit

What monitor are you using ?

Looks ok if you are running under Open GL and not Dx

Except

[window]
width=1920
height=1080
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1

Under Dx these lines are missing (not important)

VideoSetupId=4
ForceShaders1x=0
PolygonOffsetFactor=-0.15
PolygonOffsetUnits=-3.0

And Open GL (important)

ForceShaders1x=0
PolygonOffsetFactor=-0.15
PolygonOffsetUnits=-3.0

maybe it would be a good idea to note i have the steam version of il-2? Does absolutely nobody else have the same problem?

Hi

There are some problems with the Steam Download versions.

There have been corrupted installations for a few users.

You should fill out a ticket at Steam for a refund.

thank you will check them out. Might have to get the regular version if this doesn't work out. Everything works fine except when forcing widescreen, the hud messes up at as arrow icons move the the right they dissappear and chat/stat msges just don't show up at all.
