Stuck on a mission *Spoiler*

Well i am stuck on one of many missions woking for Alex now - mission seems very simple escort refugee's from El Zed to X-93 and all is fine - problem pops out when i go about 2/3rd into X-41 i need to out run few packs of fighters - i am in Astarot, with flight firmware 3 installed and i can't out run them. Solution ? Help ?

Fight them. Or just absorb their fire long enough to get to the gate.

Fighting them really ain't an option, cause at one point no matter how good i do cinematic pops up saying something how "universe is insignificantly unfair" or something like that ...

I did it the way that I just set the MS to fly to the gate, used fighter so lure the other ships to shoot at them and flyied away so that the MS coud reach the gate, then you can just jump.
