Question HOW Do I Download and Install PS3 Patch??

I'd like to install the game patch on my PS3, but I don't get any notifications saying it is available.

Is there a place on the net I can download it to a thumb drive and install it from there?

Thanks

If your PS3 is connected to the internet it should automatically let you know the patch is available when you start up BoP.

if you don't have internet or PSN access on your ps3, you could try playstation.com and see if it's downloadable from there, but most likely it's not, since that would invite hackers to reverse-engineer the patch and make their own patch. Usually you can only dl the firmware, trailers, themes, wallpapers, etc. Not game stuff.

Have you guys got your PS3s set to auto-sign in? Even though you can use the internet browser, you need to actually be signed into PSN when you start the game.

Beyond that, I don't have a clue...if you run the game without the patch, it signs you out of PSN.

thanks guys but i'm still not getting it. I have set the auto sign-in on in the login page, but when I check the info in account management it says auto sign-in is off. I've logged in and out and reset it multiple times but it wont stay on for me...and when I turn on the game it just skips right past downloadable content. it signs in only when i go to online, then it asks me to sign in which i do, but it just brings me to the online playable stuff...i'll try again tomorrow i guess cuz i'm just getting to aggravated

That is pretty weird... So you can't stay signed in to PSN when you're just in the XMB? What NAT type does it say when you do a connection test (if it's more than 2, that will be your problem maybe, or certainly not be helping)? Can you access the Playstation Store at all?

Yeah its kind of frustrating. NAT is 2, and I can access the PS store no problem. Signing in is easy, but even when I click the auto sign in box in the login window, the auto sign in says off when I check it afterwards.
