Well, I don't know exactly how to read the instruments, but there is this aircraft guide that might help:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/6291510/IL...Aircraft-Guide It's for IL-2 1946, but the layout of each specific aircraft cockpit is the same for 1946 and BoP obviously. Just click on the aircraft name in the index. Also, the altimeter is always the indicator with 3 needles of different sizes, regardless of aircraft. The speedometer can be complex or pretty simple depending on the aircraft. Sorry I can't give any specifics though. Last edited by PantherAttack2; 12-05-2009 at 12:02 PM. |

altitude rate of climb/descent relative airspeed turn/slip indicator (the miniature tilting plane) compass/heading pitch indicator (artificial horizon) and of course, fuel. the pitch indicator and turn/slip may be combined into one instrument. For more than you ever wanted to know about flight instruments, the FAA's instrument flying handbook is freely available for download in PDF form, and it's only a few hundred pages. |
