Default Adding new planes to existing campaigns

Hi,

With the release of the Daedelus patch I was hoping to be able to play with the early I-16s in the Russian Fighter campaign but saw they weren't included. I didn't think that was much of a problem as the structure of the DGen folder looked quite simple. I went into PlanesRuF.dat and added I_16TYPE5 to the [Lvov41] section and then went to Lvov41.db and added a few I_16TYPE5 to the [Planes] section. The Type 5 now appears in the campaign / plane selection screen but nothing happens when I click "Generate". Can someone point out what I did wrong?

Thanks,

D

You need to open the actual map in FMB then click on the aircraft and then replace it with your choice.

Ah. Does that work with the dynamic campaigns? The Lvov map is blank when I load it - very different to a populated map set up with a mission. I was under the impression that the dynamic campaigns were created from the .dat and .db files in the Dgen folder.

Hmmm. When I open FMB I get:

Load Map - Loads the bare maps used in all the campaigns and missions. There's nothing on these maps other than the geography.

Load - Loads missions (*.mis) but only the single missions, static campaigns or missions already generated / played during dynamic campaigns. I can modify the planes in these but it only affects each mission individually and not the campaign.
