Default Help! IL-2 Birds of Prey not available in my country

Dear Developer,

I came across IL-2 Sturmovik birds of prey on the internet and immediately fell in love with the graphics and gameplay! I am an avid flight sim fan and can vouch that this has to be one of the finest flight sim ever produced. Unfortunately, when I try to obtain a copy for the Xbox360, I was by told by the sellers that there are no local distributor whom is bringing this game to this region (I live in Singapore). Would you be able to let me know how or where I can obtain a copy of this simulator that is compatible for this region?

Thanks,
Choon Hwee

Try this:

Be careful though, I'm not sure if you're in the NTSC-J region, you'll have to check that, because it doesn't work in that region.

Does that matter on xbox if you have an HDTV? It doesn't matter on ps3. I play European games in the US all the time.

IL-2 is kind of scarce in the US too. I tried 2 game stores, and blockbuster video, they'd never heard of it. Then I tried Game Crazy at Hollywood video, they'd never heard of it either but they had a copy.

M$ regulation . Think it was similar for the PS2 as well.. not sure about the PS3 though. Anyways, it shouldn't be possible to play a European or American game on an Asian console.. it sucks, I know.

PS2 was locked into 4 (originally) regions. But Sony made ps3 region-free for games. Still region'ed for dvd's and blu-rays though. There's only 3 blu-ray regions.
