Default Finally Bought BOP and..........

I have to say that it's not nearly as bad as some think it is. I've been lurking here in the forums for a while and I've been keeping notes of all the pros and cons and I have to say that the game does have more pros than cons.

I do have a couple of gripes:

1. The Spit flipping at around 60 mph during landing even when no controls are touched. Although I just read that maybe I should try a 3-point landing at around 70-80 mph so I'll give that a shot.

2. P-51 B looks like its has 4 cannons despite it really having 4 .50 cals

3. Of course the way the P-51 is modeled. The P-51 did not behave this bad in IL-2 1946 so it's interesting that it is claimed to be modeled from the same source.

4. It can be difficult to see ground targets

Despite my gripes, I say to anyone who is still hesitant on buying BOP it's not perfect. But for $49.99 any aviation enthusiast who owns a 360/PS3 can't go wrong. (I'm surprised on how many training missions there are)

Can't wait for the update!

Feel free to send me a friend request for online play!

Hello LostinSpace

I completely agree with you, there are many people complaining about this game and how 'bad' its been but we got to remember its the first proper attempt! You can only make a game so realistic when it comes to a console anyway!
In regards to your points;

1. Yes, yes yes this is extremely annoying. I find touching down (in sim mode, i never try landing in anything but) at around 60 then pulling the left stick back shunts the nose into the sky and holds it in position, about 70% of the time.

2. Agreed.

3. This is 'supposed' to be fixed in the patch from what I've read.

4. Christ I agree with you there, doubly so in the Stalingrad missions. Try getting directly over their position using the map and then pulling up at that exact moment, reduce throttle to 0% and stall-turn, you should then be coming directly on-top of them with plenty of time to fire or attempt to aim.

Everyone seems to have paid quite a lot, I got my copy for £20 of ebay!

I will add you on Xbox Live, my tag is sloppyclock.
