Default Mountain Flying in DLC?

Great game guys. Absolutely love it, I can't wait for the patch either - any guesses on a release date?

The only slight thing that disappoints me is the lack of interesting terrain to fly over. Everything is a little bit flat and predictable.

Just as an idea for dlc, I'd love to see an area in maybe Austria or Switzerland, I think it would really add to the flying experience to fly amongst the Alps. It would be great to dogfight in mountain valleys with the added thrill and skill of dodging mountains. Or maybe go on a bombing run on one of Hitler's Austrian castle retreats. Alternatively, how about a dambusters run with the bouncing bomb? Landing at a high altitude landing strip would also be a great challenge.

What do you guys think, a mountain region would really add to my fun with this already stellar game.

Thanks for reading.

Mountains sound cool but there are some interesting places to fly, keep in mind these are the settings of the largest air battles ever, thus their inclusion in the game. Trk29 and I had a helluva good tussle over Dover last week. At one point he dove down next to the cliffs skimming the surface of the water with me about 200ft behind then he banked up and over and just cleared the top of the cliff by maybe 5 feet with me right on his tail truly awesome stuff!!!

Yes that was awesome as soon as I cleared the cliff I pushed up on the d-pad to see where you were at. You were really close to me.

I finally did that level where you fly around and inspect the AAA in Kent. Have to say now that I actually look at the ground, they did a rather cool job with the graphics! Quite a bit of detail down there. Makes me wish whomever was setting up the online games I keep ending up in would pick something more then the eternally foggy channel!

It looks like I can go fly and land wherever I wish? May go airfield hopping one of these evenings and take the scenic tour!

A mountain range map is a fantastic idea, and Im surprised the dev team overlooked it. I would LOVE to dice with other pilots and use nap of the earth flying around a mountain range.

Yes, you're right the ground detail is wonderful. It's just that I'd like some serious topography added, just think it would actually actively interact with your flying skills then, rather than just being passive eye candy.

It's not a complaint, just a way of making a great game even better in my honest opinion.
