Screenshot thread
Every forum needs one, and since SF is down under, I can't look at all them pretties anymore. ToneOne should join these darn forums.
To kick off, I've plundered my old Imageshack account. Here's a series from an old game. How to get everyone on top of a roof: Pepper it with a few grenades.. Ah, we have a victim! Make sure people are watching your back Done! Last edited by IceShade; 07-20-2010 at 05:10 AM. |

In the "defend CdO" mission, I decided to solo a big part of it. Everything went quite smoothly, until I cleared em all out. I forgot that a second wave spawns.. and there I was, completely surrounded, outnumbered and outgunned.
The poor bastards. Normally my loadout looks like this: It ended up looking like this: |

A neat series of screenshots that does a great job of illustrating how you address tactical concerns.
Your before/after pics of your loadout is funny. Now that's a sign of a desperate fight! |

Yeah, at one point I was sort of stuck. I always keep a flash + smoke with me for such a situation. Dropped the smoke, let it spread and ran across to some other buildings and flanked those four at the wall, and quickly took them out with the KS-23 and a grenade.
Initially I was very reluctant to use a shotgun like the KS-23, but it's one of two 2x3 slot shotguns. I gave it a go anyway. Turns out, the thing is an absolute killer. A buckshot from about 15 meters is pretty much a guaranteed kill. Where most flechette/buckshot hits do a lot of "slightly hit" damage, this one does a lot of normal "hit". It is nasty. Offset by the pump-action and 3 round capacity, but it's well worth it. Yesterday one of my mercs got hit in the head by one of those stupid Delta Force guys, and was knocked out. Quickly dropped a smoke, injected with some morphine and managed to crawl her out before the smoke dissipated. Surprisingly, 7.62 is one of the few games where smoke grenades actually work properly. PS: Need more screens/AARs. |

Pics from my last battle while escorting Sebastian to the baron..
When you have this pointed at you.. well, there isn't a whole lot you can do. A typical KS-23 buckshot. 'Ey Pedro! What did the boss say when a grenade lands next to us? You party and dance like a cossack! I'm sorry, I see you dropped your gun. Here, you can have it back. This enemy here got stuck in the BTR's model for some silly reason. I gave him a hand getting out of there. |

The mission where Im assigned to take out the general's staff, or something.
My fps was terrible when I entered the sector, which can only mean that there are a lot of bad dudes. Pretty much.. not done yet, either. |

Yeah, that mission is hard, or fun if you choose to look at it that way I think there's 2 or 3 waves of enemies also, and you need to finish them all for the trigger for Tanya to work. The main building, the one with all the officials, has a very nice roof that offers a lot of options when dealing with them. I have very fond memories of that battle

Im on the gov side.. but seriously? 2 or 3 MORE waves?
This is beginning to sound like left for dead, not a tactical squad based shooter :/ Im not really enjoying these stupid amounts of enemies. |

What helmets are you using in your screen shots, Ice?
Where did that come from!? Oh... The Knight's Armament Company SR-25 is my favourite firearm and to find it upon capturing the base was one of the happiest gaming moments ever. Equiped with the suppressor and night vision optics it almost feels like cheating... |

Does any mod tweak these amounts? I've played the game myself several times, but always gave up later in the game because most battles became overwhelming.
