Thanks for your hard work, dev team!
I await the sequel to fly my Gustav.

Hopefully someone can now get an online war started. I still believe!

Thanks For the Patch and the hard work that Luthier and Team have put into this Sim now and over the years.

Unlike some I have never found the need to be disappointed in watching the progression of this Sim come together, and understood that it was always a 'work in process' that benefited largely from the input the WWII aviation fanatics here have put into it.

....Not forgetting the IL-2 original series which kept me thoroughly entertained online for near 10 years...a BIG Thanks and ~S~

I look forward to buying 'Battle for Moscow' when it is available...

Finally an official update. Time to get back online! It's been a while.

That ubi splash screen thing only affects ATI cards it seems. It forces your gpu to run at desktop speeds while in game correct? Maybe it would be wise to repost the delete instructions for that.

Luthier and the whole team - thank you very much for your effort, the final patch is very impressive and I appreciate all your hard work. Good luck with the sequel, I will be one of the first ones to pre-order it.

SPASIBA!

Apparently the ubi logo that plays during loading artificially limits ATI cards from their top speed (apologies I am no techno-geek it has been explained much more succinctly on previous patch threads).
You find it (via my documents/1csoftclub then another folder I have forgotten!) and either delete it or rename .old so it doesn't play on first loading the game. It did make a big difference on my old 5770, not sure it does on my new 7850, but all the same it is worth doing.
Sorry I can't be more help, if in doubt look through previous patch threads and someone always asks about it.

Here comes the party pooper.
Please don't delete or edit this post, let people express less-than-good opinions, too.

Yes the game got much better with each patch, and yes you can tell that there is a great deal of work behind it.
However, I think that publishing a paid expansion now wouldn't be a good idea.

Even with my medium-high end PC (i7/970, 12GB RAM, GTX680) the frame rates often drops close to unplayable, especially on take off.
Antialiasing hasn't been taken care of, yet. That means, planes are very hard to tell apart until you're very close to them.
Also, I still have a problem with the Hurricane, where low-res textures are superimposed to the hi-res ones (as shown in the patch thread and in a bug report)

I could keep going but I think I made my point: right now CloD is a great game but it still needs some fixing before an expansion can be published.
Personally, I wouldn't buy an expansion right now, unless early customers get a special deal. On the other hand I would buy the sequel if some time after the release, positive reports start popping up and everyone is happy with it... but for some reason, I don't think that's going to happen.

Now don't get me wrong, I still believe that CloD is going to be the greatest flight sim game ever. All im saying is that I won't invest more money in it, until im sure that im not going to get ripped off again.

Everyone can get ripped off once, but getting ripped of twice, by the same guy, and in the same way... well, that's not going to happen.
So, make the game match the promises and I'll be happy to keep buying expansions.
