Same here. There's still a chance though that Ubi would ship it without their crappy DRM (like the recently released RUSE). The system doesn't make much sense if it's not used by all versions worldwide in the same way.

Then again, even without the DRM there are still enough reasons not to buy from Ubi...

I'd rather see Korea in that role. And I hope, this is the way it's going to be.

Sorry Saqson, but Ubi's policy of alienating customers is not something that's positive. If I may say so - Il-2 was/is successful despite Ubi's involvement, not because of them.

I never was bothered with any copy protection in games, to be honest. So, I don't care about such things. But that's another story.

Sure but the whole point of Ubi's system is not to provide any kind of offline options. Besides ROF still doesn't allow offline campaigns, which happens to be the most important offline game mode.

I don´t know why 1C doesn´t think about direct selling SoW BoB.
I'm sure they do, and with any luck they will. All depends on the contracts though, which we won't be able to look into If we're lucky they are too old to consider digital distribution, and we might get it directly from 1C through Steam (which is as far as I'm willing to go with DRM).

Well, then you better look into Ubi's latest idea. They force playsers to be online all the time (something distantly related to cloud computing) but can't guarantee working servers to begin with. Not to mention that they put a stamp "Potential software pirate" on each and every user. This is IMO simply unacceptable.

RoF's protection is ok for me because is not invasive at all. However we dream if we pretend a not antipiracy protection.

So, for the time being this is in no way true. Correct?
