Default deadzone clarification

We never told anyone, that deadzones will be tweakable on PS3 - so no false promises.
Anton:

Thanks again for your response.

There was one point I was hoping you could clarify however.

At the yuPlay forum, the following was posted under your name:
What will be in title update:

This list will be updated, when I'll get more information.

Common for all platforms:

Controls remapping (custom layout).
Changed MP kills scoring system. Suicide will always reduce score; crash (or bailout) soon (one minute) after signifficant damage will score to shooter; crash (or bailout) after 12 seconds after being hit even lightly will score to shooter.
Brakes with flightstick fix.
(For Arcade& realistic) RS will look around with 'half pressed' target camera trigger.
More effective flak.
Blackouts and redouts on realistic/simulation back again.

PlayStation3 only:

Screen-tearing fixes.
PC flightstick support (with custom layouts).
Flightstick deadzone customization.
USB mouse support (for mouse look)
As a PS3 user myself, I was under the impression, based upon the above post, that deadzones COULD be tweaked after the update. In your post today, are you saying that this is not the case?

I may have misread your post, but you could you this clear?

Thanks,
dreadnaught_

IS THE UPDATE GETTING RELEASED LIKE YOU SAID IN AN PREVIOUS POST OR ARE THE PUBLISHERS HOLDING THE UPDATE BACK FOR WHAT EVER REASON ????

STRAIGHT ANSWERS PLEASE !!
Stop caps, please.
It is hard to read.
Update is ready, and was sent to publisher.
Publisher found some VERY rare (for example, nobody posted it here) 'bugs' there, which were also present in release version (and they agree to that), and probably are on Sony's side.
They agreed, that update is not spoiling anything (make things only better).
After that they've stopped answer emails.
So, I don't know exactly where it is now - in Sony or not.
I am only sure, that it was done and passed QA.

I know, that's not much - that's why I wasn't posting here.
And, please, DONT WRITE IN CAPS!

Yes, after update you'll be able to do it.
That's mostly because we are allowing a wide set of PC flight sticks now, so we have to make deadzone adjusting, it is impossible to have presetes to all these peripherial devices.

The reason why it wasn't done in release, is because we supported only three sticks, and could make presets for them. And because X360 users can't have one.

Ok I wasn't going to say anything, but for me I could have cared less about a patch. I have been enjoying this game, and it is one of the best in my ps3 collection. I don't know about any of you but this game sure as hell beats any other flying game on consoles(heroes over europe anyone?). I for one play this game only for its sp, even though I occasionally get online every once and a while. I play this game, but its not the only game I play to pass my time. I enjoy it and a patch would be appreciated but for me its no big deal. I can wait for it. So stop all your complaints and be glad that a patch and some DLC are already coming out. You could be part of the SOCOM community, now thats a community that has been left behind by its devs.

1C is the publisher. Anton & Crew are with Gaijin, as far as I know.

hi,

There is somthing I still don't understand....

"official 1C Company forum" (If I read clairly lol) should be THE place to complaine about "publishing" problems.

So the question is : Why 1C don't answer on their own forum? And why the devs have to be in front line for somthing they can't solve ?

Ps: I also would like to know if the Force feedback sticks will be support? It so nice to "feel the plane" in your hand

You told everyone (http://forum.yuplay.com/index.php?showtopic=13) :
You kidding me or what?
The point was - we never told that PRIOR release.
So it is not _fixing_, it is adding something (which makes sense with peripherial support).

So how the hell adding peripherial support and customizable controls - becomes our fault like 'the should not be out of QA'?
You know, it annoys me - anytime when you are adding something there will be someone, who will tell that it was clear for everyone from the beginning of times that it should be in the game, so it is developer's obligation to fix it at last.
I - personally - know no other games with PC-peripherial support or even deadzone tweaking.
