Yeah i noticed the error, so assumed it was a mistake and its the D that should be in their instead. But in one of the videos i see the same P51 in dersert markings (think its the new launch trailer). So..maybe we have 2 P51's in the game and the list needs updating some more in due time?

Its a good looknig list anyway, just glad to see the hurricane

At least the quote from wiki is a secondary quote taken from a book, which makes it a bit more reliable, but I will try to find an online version of that book and see if it has more information.
Thanks, Let me know if you find anything. Especially photos!

The official list isn't complete, there should be 40 planes on there according to Anton. It seems to be updated in batches of 10 planes at a time. So the P51D isn' on there yet, but it will probably be added soon. And yes, there are at least 2 versions of the P51 that we have seen, so the P51A and P51D will both be available ingame.

Is there no Typhoon in this game?

Shame if not.

Cant say i've seen anything of the typhoon or tempest or heard anything either. Maybe in the future as DLC, would be nice to fly more hawker aircraft

I always liked the Hurricane myself, but it can't beat a Yak-3 Both good planes though.

Prob not. It will prob have the P47 cockpit, much like the P51D does in the demo.

Read: A Pictoral History of the Luftwaffe. I did my doctoral thesis at Baylor on why the Luftwaffe failed. It was a series of bad decisions, but that's beside the point. The pods were initially intended for the K-4, as I said earlier. However, they slowed the aircraft down and cause a roll instability to the left, as the K-4 was designed to be a high-speed interceptor and as such, sucked at low speed. They only put them on the Stuka as an afterthought, since it was the only low-speed attack plane in the inventory. Low-level, low-speed was contrary to everything the Luftwaffe was trying to do.
