I wanted to know if others who had the input lag prior to this patch no longer have it with the new patch. And no I will not do a reinstall of windows just because of this game. I have done it before several times without any improvements. Waste of time. And to all those tricks about turning down Aero and so on: yes I have done em all. Do I have to build my own computer around this game to make it work? Maybe the developers should make their game work on their player's? And all my other flight sims are working perfectly so the problem is clearly in this game. |

Had a very irritating problem with another game, nothing I did seemed to fix it, so I went back to the basics. Turned out to be a soundcrad driver problem. Loaded the latest one for 64bit and everything was working smoothly. You still have not posted system specs? Asking for help and not even bothering to do that is... |

I assume you mean you tried turning Aero off. If you fly FSX you'll know FSX turns Aero off when it starts, presumably Microsoft recognising some kind of issue with it.
It has become obvious that for a fairly small percentage of players there is a problem either with input lag or some other issue including some that could not even start the game (don't know if that has gone away). So yes CoD has some bugs buried deeply in it that certain PC setups seem to tease out. Its impossible to tell what the causes of some of these are, there are so many possible PC configurations not to mention how they are set up to run or what may be running on them. Perhaps what we really need is someone to make a completely fresh start on a WWII combat air sim. btw tomandre81, you still don't help your cause by not including your specs in your posts. You never know who may look in and spot something he is aware of. Its a bit dog-in-a-manger to repeatedly complain but not help others to help you. No offence intended but no-one is going to study all your past posts to find out your PC spec. This is a very helpful community but you need to give them a fighting chance with your problem. For example I went outside the community and googled the input delay problem and found that thread on a completeley different forum for another application. Have you tried that more general approach to the problem? Also it may seem like bad CoD code but perhaps CoD is making calls that none of your other games do.

Do you have your mini-stick mapped to anything other than pov? If so it is known to give input lag.
Hope that helps ![]() |

I can replicate the lag you have by adjusting the sensitivities of the Axes inputs in the controls settings, leaving them at default has no input lag at all. This is also the same in all the flight sims I have installed, as a direct comparison to IL2 1946, CoD has the same control surface and animation responses, both look identical. With the sliders in the centre the lag is slightly more noticeable, moving them to the default positions (green arrows) there's no delay. ![]() Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 11-12-2012 at 08:53 PM. |

Tried the two tips provided in my previous mail. Still half a second input delay.
I noticed my keyboard has no input delay since when I pressed the left or right arrow buttons the plane immediately responded. As of my Saitek X52 stick it has half a second delay. I went to test Rise of flight just in case since it has been a while, no input lag there. My specs: Intel Core i7 960, 6GB DDR3, X58 chipset, HD 6950 2GB DX11, 60GB SSD Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Satek X52 joystick. |

Oh, and although there is Graphics delay, is there delay in the aircraft response (sorry again if this has been asked).

This is the only joystick I have.
The logo thing does nothing for the input delay. I have had it deleted before and not with same result. And it's not graphical. It is delay. From when firing guns to move the axis. Half a second. When I press the keyboard I get immediate respons like it should. |
