On my side, I can play the game, but have lots of freezes/stuttening, that didn't had before the patch.

Also download the patch twice, from diferent links, tried the clean install, cleaning the cache, going back to the previous patch, unsyncing with steam cloud, extracting with winrar (not manually)
im going to do a fresh install, so ill try and get it working tonight :~

I am with you.

Many years after, i've fire up my IL2 1946 again.

Update it to V4.10.1. from Team Daidolos.

Went here: http://ultrapack.il2war.com/index.ph...ownloads;cat=3

and here: http://ultrapack.il2war.com/index.ph...view;article=3

and downloaded UP3 mod. What a joy, the modders made a stunning work.

Join Hypperlobby. See you on the IL2 skies.

no, i simply assumed that steam would automatically overwrite this anyway,

its not the game loading that im having a problem with, its the fact that when i click to go into a level i get returned to my desktop or get a black screen so i think its got something to do with the root folder, i completely got rid of the cashe folder in my documents but this didnt solve the problem.

AHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RAGE

The documents folder contains the config settings file so it may be the resolution or other settings stopping you from seeing a picture when you click a mission, I found out the last reinstall I did left this file in place. There also seems to be a issue with the menus and the game files being separate entities, so one will work but the other won't.

Try deleting this whole folder and do a steam check so it reinstalls it, you controller files should be saved to the steam cloud unless you have disabled it.

If you run x32 OS it is a low memory issue. If x64 it is probably a video card. It is no tin the list of officially supported by the game 460 is minimum imo&iirc.

Try running in windowed mode first (edit conf.ini to start in a small window). Then change back to fullscreen.
