I know!
I bought IL2 when it was first released. One of the first things I noticed about the game was the lack of water fountains. There was no cool, refreshing and beautiful spouts of clear, fresh water. No where could I hear the soothing sound of splashing and dripping. At first, I assumed that this was an oversight by the developers and it would be fixed in a patch, but here we are, almost at v4.10 and there are still no fountains. I don't understand. I had almost forgotten until last week, but then I had a dream about flying over a water fountain in a La7 and woke up crying. I hope it gets fixed. Last edited by Letum; 12-15-2010 at 03:54 PM. |

I understand that Letum has put forward a strong case for his water fountains however I shall be outraged if TD commence work on this admittedly important feature prior to implementing bacon & eggs.
Currently, we can set fuel, ammunition and pilot skill but no-where can we specify whether or not the pilot has had a good breakfast or not. This is an oversight of flabbergasting proportion. Breakfasting to the utmost was the greatest secret of the RAF during the Battle of Britain. Though the modeling of this most important meal of the day has admittedly set back the release of BoB by some three years, Oleg recently confirmed that eggy tesselation, though not seen in the recent alpha, has been perfected - there are even wild rumours of black pudding. That red light in the 109's cockpit did not indicate low air fuel as most have thought up until now: it came on when the staffel's cooks had finally knocked up breakfast and the errant nazi's were recalled for their piddly continental - a poor shadow of the full English, with its insipid orange juice and croissanty nonsense (we have much to thank the French resistance for). It has long been acknowleged that the Nazi war machine, for all it's tactical nous and tremendous engineering capacity, neglected to fry animal products in a manner befitting its warriors of the air. They'd never even researched brown sauce. I hope this appalling inaccuracy is finally corrected. Last edited by Novotny; 12-15-2010 at 04:45 PM. |
