The FB Bf-210 optional version with the 50mm. L60 FlaK gun in the belly out performs the BOP Bf-110 C4, which isn't quite what it should do.
THATS IL2:FB!!!! THATS A BF-210!!!!

Ok....

the 110c, as depicted in BIRDS OF PREY on the XBOX 360 clearly performs differently to how it should it real life, we have established that mate. Its really late, i have a bad back, im tired, but i'll do these speed tests, but i need the historical data for the 110c!!! so i can compare, not some completely different plane from a completely different game hahaha!!!

if need be just give me a link and i'll do everything myself, just PLEASE dont give me info on other planes from other games that wont help me in any way shape or form lol.

cheers chief, we will no doubt catch up online tomorrow and compare what we've come up with since you enjoy flying this crate

Oddly enough i have noticed when flying online with someone (tudorp) doing formation flying, they took the P51 nad i took the hurricane. In a climb the P51 pulled away at first, but after about 30 seconds the hurricane shot past the P51 and got to 30000ft long before it

It was also fitted to the Japanese "Judy" dive bomber (50 MPH faster than the F2A Buffalo and F4F Wildcat) and the Kawasaki Ki-61 "Tony" fighter.

In BSM the Judy is slower than the F4F and in BSP the fault is corrected to make it faster, as it should be.

I'll have to dig around in some of the books here.

Given that the flight model was ported from IL2, the number of mistakes makes me think they simply decided they must make a few planes "suck" more.

Seriously, way too many mess-ups for the small number of planes in the game.

I've never heard that the 110 had a legendary rate of climb. I would've thought it would be better off diving as an escape tactic (given that its quite a heavy bird).
Would be fun to employ the real life tactic (employed in Battle of Britain) of circling round and round covering each others tail (if you had enough 110's in a multiplayer game).
I think the biggest disgrace with the 110 in this game is the lack of weapon load-outs (as compared to... hmmm maybe the Il2).
Those cannons don't seem quite as punchy as they should be either.

In all seriousness though most of the russian planes do seem good in comparisson to the others. You can't deny it lol

Most planes being the La's? In another thread someone quoted a book where the writer seemed to agree with the La's being superb.
The sad truth is though that quite some models seem to be off, in a negative sense. I don't think they overpowered the Russian planes, although they certainly didn't nerf them.

no not the LA series at all. I dont worry about them to much as only 1 or 2 players may take it into a fight. The 3 that bug me the most are the obvious one -

P51 (obvious reasons)
190 (obvious reasons)
ju87 - Far to much armour!! these cans should be fairly easy to shoot down and only take a few rounds, but in here they are so hard to take down they can stay airbourne for an endless amount of time and just keep getting shot at.

No denying the LA is a good plane to fly though, i was hugely impressed with it when i took it up for trials
