Fps increased over london really nice. However there is something strange going on, maybe because it is a beta patch but lots of the buildings in london look like squares.. like "lego blocks". Usually buildings that are a bit more far away, but sometimes even the ones that you are on top of. It kind of kills the immersion for me.. I have Radeon 6970.

I thought I'd post my findings on the 14072 beta patch so far in comparison to the 13954 patch.

On the ground with the 13954 patch; fps:32 avg:33 max:46 min:14
On the ground with the 14072 beta patch (with only SSAO turned off); fps:33 avg:45 max:46 min:33

In the air at 10,000ft with the 13954 patch; fps:20 avg:33 max:98 min:0
In the air at 10,000ft with the 14072 beta patch (with only SSAO turned off); fps:58 avg:45 max:115 min:0

There were far fewer stutters so the game felt a lot smoother to me, on the downside I still have building\town shimmering but it could be caused by my settings.

I'm going to continue with my small test and tweak the graphical settings some more.

Here's my system specs and settings:

Intel i7 920
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
Corsair 6 GHz DDR3
Nvidia GTX 275 896 MB
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

Default Real good job

Ok guys a big pat on the back for you all.....
Without selecting SSAO ( Ihad mod installed b4) FPS has increased by 50 percent than b4 inc the mod activated..
I benchmarked 3 different quick missions and the first training mission all have same result.
London is very flyable
Also my six core is now running all cores for the game
I set trees and buildings and shading to medium I will now and try these on a higher setting but overall.
A blooming good job chaps
Keep up the good work

Great to see some work done !!! and fast
I'm testing something about the textures in the new patch and the one from kegetys..
Placing lower setting in the new patch make the texture pretty wash at lower or medium settings out but ........

I think i'm getting a great result by mixing the texture mod of kegetys with the new patch.. i mean i do have the same FPS but with a better texture detail with kegetys's ..

Try plz and compare ! I maybe just umaginating this morning! Need my coffee!
Anyway this is a great path for teh Sim as long as they keep the realism ( for the realism setting )
Next step will be the awaited SLI patch !

Okay, I'm getting some isolated CTDs when I try to view some enemy ground object (i.e. one of the Radar installations in some of the QMB missions) as well as when I try to place a ground object via STRG+left click in the FMB. It's not easily reproducable, perhaps it was connected to the sound setup manipulation I made with my SoundBlaster software, dunno. (Was listening to BoB soundtrack while playing )

Apart from a great improvement:

1: getting quite a lot of CTDs

2: enemy AI 109s now roll about twice as fast as the plane should! they do CRAZY rolling maneuvers, like in the movie Pearl Harbor!
