The game will die because dickheads like you will be sending them all messages telling them to play another game.

Being a narcissistic asshole you probably don't know a few things:
1. If you shoot a plane and render it unable to fly and the plane crashes you will not get the kill.
2. If you shoot up the engine and the player lands or crashes before you can finish them off you will not get the kill.
3. If you are chasing down a plane and he stalls and crashes you will not get the kill.
4. The only way you can get the kill is by killing the pilot with bullets or a big fiery mid-air explosion.

So stop whining and learn to shoot.

there are no servers for 3 reasons;

1) people are unlocking stuff first on singleplayer

2) half the world hasnt got it yet

and

3) you're all on here WHINING how you cant search for any, but arent HOSTING any.

Ive hosted plenty.

My first impression, Online is awefull.

first problem every1 is crashing etc,
2nd i dont even hear a sound or feel anything while getting hit.
The whole expirience feels buggy

It's only been out for a couple of days, and many people still don't know it came out early in the US. On top of that, the SP modes are so good that most can't help but play them a lot first. Not to mention you want to unlock a variety of planes to use in MP.
And personally I prefer private rooms when I've got enough people that I know online with it. I'll have some public rooms going too though.

Err, sorry to say that I think I was one of the aforementioned crashing players.

I got in my first MP dogfight (sim) with you and you nailed me hard twice and I ended up crashing because my plane was almost unflyable. I wasn't aware at the time that you might not get "credit" for the kill, but I was most certainly shot down, fair and square. I think that another time we actually collided and you got the kill, but I may have just been shot head on and not heard it (I also noticed the lack of sound effects).

I put another post about this ( http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=9414 ), but I think that the MP matches handle damage differently because I've never had a hard time keeping a damaged plane level in SP. I much prefer a more realistic model if MP does indeed handle this differently.

yea it was my first impression and that was 2 games of Arcade and Realistic, with lots of players, with sim i its kinda slower, and things arent really rushed.

I also dont mind not getting kills, besides that you might need it for unlocks so thats a shame

I hope they can fix the kill thing a bit, and maybe the sound when you get hit, but i dont even notice it anymore lol

I really think that CoD style point system would work best in this instance. Just so everyone gets a share here and there?

You sound like the Arsehole to me, not Red Tiger.

1. Do you think it's fair that the player doesn't the get the kill when he has damaged a plane enough for it to be unable to fly? That player has downed another and should be counted a kill.

2. If a player destroys anothers engine and forces him to crash or crash land, that should be a kill, no doubt about it. If the other player manages to land safely then thats ok (but they would be quite a sitting duck for the guy to finish off don't you think?)

3. One player forcing another into a controlled or uncontroled flight into terrain would be considered a kill. This is rather hard to put into a game though unless a sucessfull shot has been taken by the persuer, then last player to get a hit should receive the kill.

4. Almost all kills in WWII were not huge explosions and many times the pilot was able to bail out. Why is that not the same for this game?

This is a big mistake by the developers. Ace combat 6 made exactly the same mistake, people were firing off all their missiles like crazy and then crashing on purpose to get a new load. People would get a bit damaged and then just find the nearest mountain to plow into before someone killed them and got the points. It was crazy before the patch that gave a big penalty for any crash, this caused a masive drop in crashers.

Once the whole world can buy IL2 BoP A public room Online will become a no kills ,crash fest if nothing is done to discourage crashing. And adding some programing that says last person to get a shot on the crashing plane gets the kill would also be welcome.
