My Take on the Final Game

This my personal opinion of the game so please check it out for yourself.

One thing I noticed is there is not really a free flight for single player. In the training mode you can select where you want to fly and what you want to fly etc. etc. but, you have to select how many and what your enemy is. So there is not really a "Free Flight". You can select unlimited time but as soon as you drop your enemy the training mission ends and you are taking out of the mode.

And the screen tearing is evident in the final release for the ps3.

But I have had so much fun with it in the little time I got to play today. I played it for 2hours and it blew me away. The hangar looks cool and you can get pretty close up to your aircraft and see right in on the gauges.

There was not any online matches going on so I couldn't join but the leaderboards are already filling up with people.

All the planes you get to fly sound awesome. I love the way the 109's motor sounds and the Hurricane's guns sound killer ecspecially when the tracers hit the dirt you can hear the smallest little pieces of dirt get kicked up from the bullets, see the guns on this plane are more quiet then the spitfire's guns.

Oh and flying the bombing planes with the turret was pretty cool, ofcourse I was still on Arcade because I haven't completed the whole tutorial to unlock everything but even on arcade it took a lot of heat from that turret to bring down some 109's.

All the landscapes look wonderful on my 52" the detail is amazing.

I tried to fly in the rain and on sim mode. For everybody that will fly this way, when there is a mission like this or it is on multiplayer this is going to be so hard, I love it I can't wait to fly this on MP.

The sound on 5.1 surround is very immersive. I can't wait to play with you guys from the forum.

Congratulations on the game Gaijin, 1C, and 505. Everybody that worked on this game needs a medal because it is freaking superb. I will be playing this for a long time. And for everybody that hasn't gotten it check out the flight manual it is worth reading, there is a lot of influence from Oleg, and his team on this game, from IL2 forgotten battles to Pacific Fighters alot of people had a hand in making this game.

Very nice. It makes me very excited and more anxious to play. It's just killing me inside that you guys are all playing it!

its going to kill me getting the game tomorrow!!! i'll have it at 9am..... but im working 9am-5pm so will have to work knowing this epic game is sat in my locker at work

Thanks for the review trk29. Sounds great!!! Hopefully the tearing issue can be fixed with DLC. I can't wait to buy/play this game for myself!!

Tearing can't just be fixed in an online update. The game would need to be rewriten. I'm affraid you have to put up with it. After a while you will learn to ignore it and then not notice it as much. At least you don't have framerate slowdown, thats much worse and effects your control.

My Gamestop only got 4 copies in that's two per console and I was the only preorder. Ofcoure I have five of these around where I live.

It don't bother me that bad I just wish it wasn't there.

+1 I completely agree on this point. I was bummed it is still there, but not a big deal. The game is great.

It's a drop in frame rate or tearing. Take your pick of the compromise.

I'm loving it so far(the game, not the frame rate issues. lol.) and can't wait to get online tomorrow night.
