ok have you put your old conf.ini in the new installation ?
Also check your screen resolution is the same in the conf.ini as your desktop to see if it starts. Also just a thought were you using a no dvd exe before ? Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 08-30-2009 at 01:15 AM. |

Yes, the resolution in both conf.ini are the same. I don't use the No dvd program.

Well if v408m runs fine and v409 wont it could be a corrupted installation or corrupted download of the file.
Its strange but just to make sure: With Vista ensure UAC is turned off and IL2 1946 is installed to a folder on the hard drive outside of the programs folder Turning off UAC 1. Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety (or clicking User Accounts, if you are connected to a network domain), and then clicking User Accounts. 2. Click Turn User Account Control on or off. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. 3. Select the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box to turn on UAC, or clear the check box to turn off UAC, and then click OK. Ok, I got the 409 to work in the new folder. What I did was unzip the file in the folder. Before that I was unzipping the file in my download folder and transferring all the files into the new folder.
The only problem I have now is trying to get HyperLobby, my online server, to select the 409 game. |

To set the file path for the IL2 exe
Start Hyperlobby> hold down Shift & Control> Click on connect> Enter the v4.09 file path in the window provided > Click Save> Select Forgotten Battles in the connect/select game Menu> Click connect. Good Luck |
