Imagine they would add a Replay function as well or even a video editor. No idea if it's feasible on the X360 to add that for a game like this, but it would be wonderful to make your own movies with different camera angles.

The map editor sounds good. I love creating absolutely huge battles with 100 or more aircraft on the PC version. I made a Battle of Kursk map once and flew as a German Bf109 pilot against massive waves of Il2s and smaller numbers of Russian fighters. Boom-and-zoom with a 109 is awesome in these situations. That and unlimited ammo, which I turned on because I kept running out of bullets.

I love the idea because mission builders are awesome in general.

It might be a big build though, heh sounds like a top down RTS game.

Did Far Cry 2 ship with the Map Editor on consoles, or just PC?
That thing is advanced as hell, way more intense than what you're describing - basically parameters and units into an existing map, right?

I'd be on board for sure. But i'd still be voting for a dynamic campaign structure first; that is my all-time favorite way to play.

It would be amazing if a game shipped with a feature like yours, guilty but I see it being a DLC content feature perhaps. A tough call; DLC is released to make money first n foremost but mission builders are a hardcore players' tool (hence: niche).

Hmm. I say ship it with.

Yeah, putting existing units onto existing maps is how the PC version works. You can still have a lot of fun though, and setting up anti-ship missions is a particular favourite of mine.
