Eric Carter only surviving member of No.81 Squadron, story here.

I met Eric at his home and he is a great story-teller. The picture in this article is one I took. I'm considering popping round with my video camera and doing an interview, would there be any interest in it though? Let me know, cheers, MP. |

Nice article MP. Nice read.
Interesting are some of his comments regarding how different countries view their war heros too. |

Stirring stuff MP, thanks for that. Go for the interview if he's up for it, I'm sure it would be worth watching.
thanks again B

Interview done. 2-hours, and all of it talking!! Needs to be edited, but I'll try and get it done by the end of the week!
Only problem was my tie-clip microphone broke, so I had to use an older one, and it looks, well to be honest, crap on his collar But Eric was a true story-teller, although not too forth-coming about combat. Will hopefully be able to put it all on Google Video (using Picasa?), but I'd rather do that than split it down into 12-parts for Youtube. Cheers, MP. |
