Thanks Feuerfalke, though I'd be pretty surprised if anyone reading this thread was not already aware of the SimHQ article situation.

I certainly am, and frankly it hastened my question.

I think people would simply be happy if a qualified English speaker simply translated a couple of interviews we've seen in the past in Russian websites.

I'm beginning to suspect this whole thing is a modus operandi brough forth by a language barrier among other things. I mean, look at Rise of Flight. There's all sorts of speculation, questions and even critique with the game one month away from an international release and what does the dev team do? Switch their website completely to Russian language at the day the game started selling in Russia.

I know these guys all tend to make very high quality products, but improving their marketing is also a necessity. At this point we lack communication so much, that even hiring a translator for one afternoon to piece together Oleg's Russian interviews in English would be a big step.

Its been 5 months since we last heard from Oleg on this forum and i am sorry to say that i personally do not buy in to the 'Olegs's too busy' theory.
A lot of work can be done in 5 months and if what Oleg has told us recently is true i.e 'development did not start until late 2007' then 5 months worth of work in real terms is about 1/3rd of actual develpment time. If that was the case you would imagine that Oleg would be itching to show us the progress he and his team have made, but instead we hear nothing, pretty much all communication cut and any faints mutters of updates/websites/interviews have now all been cancelled due to Oleg's workload. We also have had a 'clamp down' in the forums, no more questions in Oleg's room asking about previous 1C statements regarding updates/websites/news etc, with threats of post removals and or bans.
All of this IMHO points to a project that is in trouble, questions and answers have simply become just questions.
I sincerly hope that all is well with SOW and that Oleg is just being reclusive but i fear that may not be the case. Please do not remove this post i am not complaing i am just expressing my thoughts and concerns.

Well, we're not trying to hurry the devs up, nor are we demanding dates or any particular sort of information. Indeed, there is a thread specifically for questions relating to Storm of War.

I'm just asking for some acknowledgement, some confirmation that all is well. Anything else would be a massive bonus.
