Proton45, you're surely correct. But at this stage, an update could be simply 'Really busy! Don't worry, everything's going fine' and I'm positive that would be really appreciated.

FeatheredIV said that answering some queries only leads to more and more complicated questions and I can totally see where he's coming from, if I've understood him correctly.

I don't expect Oleg to read this thread and say 'Hey OK, here's exactly what we're doing etc etc', but I think it would be really good PR if he, or someone from his team, would just let us know if they're all ok and the project is fine. If they choose to divulge more than this then excellent; however, I really don't ask for anything more than just some response.

Let's be honest, wouldn't we all appreciate that?

Now, really, how many times did he do exactly that or asked somebody else to do so. The last time is just two week old:

Concerning the Q&A:
Quote:
Oleg contacted me a couple of weeks ago to say he has not forgotten about it and apologized for the delay. He has always told me when he could not do a write-up for SimHQ, and has always been good to provide content when promised. He has lots of stuff going on right now, so we all need to be patient a bit longer. We want to see it as much as you do.

Thanks Feuerfalke, though I'd be pretty surprised if anyone reading this thread was not already aware of the SimHQ article situation.

I certainly am, and frankly it hastened my question.

I think people would simply be happy if a qualified English speaker simply translated a couple of interviews we've seen in the past in Russian websites.

I'm beginning to suspect this whole thing is a modus operandi brough forth by a language barrier among other things. I mean, look at Rise of Flight. There's all sorts of speculation, questions and even critique with the game one month away from an international release and what does the dev team do? Switch their website completely to Russian language at the day the game started selling in Russia.

I know these guys all tend to make very high quality products, but improving their marketing is also a necessity. At this point we lack communication so much, that even hiring a translator for one afternoon to piece together Oleg's Russian interviews in English would be a big step.
