Can we request an update?

As with the picture, question is: Does it change anything.

Must we really have updates? What would another few blue-screen WiP shots really do for you anyway?
Some vague, "Sure, no" Q&A session won't go far to enlighten or satisfy anybody either. It'll just give you more questions that will go unanswered, continuing this ridiculous cycle.

Much better to forget about this Storm of whatever and let this forum return to the discussion of the Il-2 series. It's what it was made for after all.

I tell you mates, the sooner you put it out of your mind, the happier you'll be.
I've been through this whole begging for updates thing for years now. I've wasted a significant chunk of my precious life, scrounging for tiny scraps of information on a something that is no nearer release than it was two years ago. Well, I'm over it now. And I have to say, I feel much better for it too.

I'm still kind of excited about SoW, don't get me wrong. But more in an abstract sort of way. The same way I'm excited about Mars colonisation, or the chance of winning the lottery. I'd prefer not to feel this way. I'd love to have that sense of hope and anticipation that I had in the old days, but they've pretty much seen to that.

Ah well... You reap what you SoW.

Can i just add that if the problem was financial but he didn't want to tell us, i personally would be happy to donate a small amount to the team (and don't think i'm made of money, i struggle myself). But just think that if we all donated a little it would make alot. OK we have all paid for our il2/fb/pf/pe2/1946, and we could easily sit there and say hell no i'm not obliged to give any more money away, but at the end of the day, we all have been waiting a long time for this baby.

Anyway, it's no big deal for me, i'm still enjoying the fruits of il2.

About a year or so before you got into the sim (during PF development), many of us donated money to Oleg when his car got hit by a garbage truck. There was a Paypal account and everyone chipped in what they could to get him back on the road. I swear to God, it really happened. I've still got the email he sent me after.

That's very interesting Feathered, hadn't heard of that before.

I'm just hoping that if we are polite, we can somehow convince Oleg to let us know a little about how things are progressing. I hope it's not begging, but rather a dignified request for some information.

Personally, I'm going to see if we can get a response with this method. If not, then yes I'm just going to get on with my life. I'm not spending any more time chasing a Duke Nukem Forever.

If Oleg gives us an update, I will send him a Starbucks card! In fact, if Oleg gives us an update, I will send you a Starbucks card too. (There is NO WAY that there is no Starbucks in Moscow) It's probably called Starmovik Bucklovski's

For most of us, I don't think we even care if he answers questions. We just want an update

Thanks
