Default B-24 supercharger inop?

Just curious as it seems you can select the supercharger in controls and apply the key but there is no message to hud or increase on the manifold pressure gage etc. from a b24 flight manual there is also a question regarding cruise, manifold pressure at 33 inches and 2350 rpm as a continiuos rating. cruise speed then is about 180mph IAS?? AOI can keep this pace but i cant at 7000m Im able to go about 150mph IAS. Anyone else have any data or tips to share??

You having this problem in the Modded or stock version stugumby?
In the stock version 4.13 you have to map the "Increase Boost" and "Decrease Boost" controls for the superchargers to work.

Thanks, for the tip i had only set keys for supercharger not turbo charger etc. Now to tinker with settings, so at 20000 feet 35 inches and 2300 rpm in doing better indeed, but what is the typical turbo setting, 1 or 2 bumps up for coninous cruise seems about right. Thanks again.

Well worth an hour of your time now that you are learning how to fly the B-24.

I don't thinks there was any mention of them. I stumbled across the new keys when I compared my v4.12.2 Controls to the v4.13 Controls.

I am a bit sad the ingame B-24D is basically not documented at all (sans cockpit orientation in the readme), despite the many novel features it has and the unique handling it requires.

If I read the original manual linked above, is that going to add to my gameplay proficency? Can the Il-2 B-24D be flown "by the book"?
