Online HSFX 7.03, moving to IES2 slowly.
Offline CUP (mostly), IES2 & HSFX sometimes.

Those were the days...

Well, in my case it´s the 'more-or-less-english-speaking community' as well. But I don´t think a poll like this tells you about the actual number of players. Its just the number of players, who screen this forum and are willing to take part in the poll. Especially Offliners tend to be, well, offline, so they are usually under-represented.
It would be nice to know the number of 4.13 downloads. That would give an idea about how many are still playing.

Not really as some squads host the file locally for their members and others use the d/l from them or other IL2 resource sites.

It is a fun poll with no hidden agenda just a heads up for those that still visit here.

Well I fly both online and off-line with stock. More and more just going to off-line play though. I like flying the harder settings and longer missions. And most want easier settings and quick missions, rarely more than 30 minutes long. Which is fine, everybody likes what they like.
But me I prefer the challenge of flying the long bomber missions across the big maps. So I mostly fly off line campaign.

I stand corrected.
I certainly did not want to voice any suspicions about hidden agendas. I just tried to express my belief that there are still many more of us

Off and On line with the stock game and HSFX.

To be honest I don't fly much at all anymore either here or with BoS or RoF, in fact I no longer have RoF or Cliffs of Dover installed.

The BlitzPigs have all pretty much moved on to other, easier to access non aircraft based titles. I still like to fly, but with my mates out of the picture the fun is pretty much gone from online flying.

The genre really needs a new, fresh, up to date WW2 title to pump up the interest again. BoS is not it and never will be, it was obsolete the day it was launched, and DCS WW2 is really never going to make it either, what with their dreadfully slow
development times.

Meh.

Yes there more flying IL2 1946 than it first looks like.

Apparently the Russians mostly fly offline and there's a huge user base right there that's unseen.

Unfortunately @ 20+ years ago interest was high in WW2 Aircraft and sims, as we were bought up with the interest in them be it modelling or some kind of personal attachment usually relatives from that era in the services etc.

Its just a sign of the times that its very very slowly in decay but still surviving against the newcomers.

Off-line with stock game and Team Daidalos updates to 4.13

On the other discussion, it may well be a generation thing or it may be that the online gaming situation today has degenerated into something visited by those less committed to something like a flight sim. A societal ADHD!
