Default Great Missions loading screen

Hi,

I would like to share you something I found on SAS forum :

http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.ph...c,43590.0.html

There are some great drawing/painting here. It could be nice to have new one in 4.14m, because I don't have a moded game...

Thank you and enjoy

Extremely beautiful paintings... I have always appreciated the works of Nicolas Trudgian. But these are copyrighted works as well. To be included in the stock game, licensing fees would need to be paid to the author(s).

I have a large coffee table book full of his work. One of my faves, and some of the guests love it, too.

As soon, as you pay royalties to the copyright owners.

yeah, didn't think about that. So the guy who posted that on SAS forum is not supposed to share that?

The mod sites can use copy written material in their version releases without consequences it would seem,
as 1 C is accountable and can be sued and it cannot use such material without the owners full permission
in official release versions.

It looks to me like VP Media or someone else has gone to the website where they are for sale
and copied the large pre-sale images to their computer, and put them up for installation as splash screens.

Not sure the owner is going to be too bothered or not.

We should ask him

Like : Can we use your painting as background for our game. We have 50% chance to have the authorization

I can’t speak for Trudgian, but me – a guy earning is keeping with copyright – would not allow it.

These times, most people don’t feel objectionable freely sharing copyrighted material on the net, while most of us (I would hope all of us) regularly pay for items taken in a supermarket or a hobby shop or whatever. If this problem is not solved in a simple and effective way, the final effect is granted: less and less people like Trudgian, or myself, will produce new material. I can’t afford to work for free…
