Hi! I have a problem with Solomon Islands map. Every time I choose this map it loads to 90% and then suddenly stops and is unable to load more. It shows up a message which says "Mission loading failed: Mesh3do/humans/Paratroopers/Russia/mono.sim not created". Every other map is loading without any problem, except this. The map does not want to load both online and offline. I have IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 4.12.2 patch, no mods. I searched for this on internet, but I couldn’t find anything. Can somebody help me?

Sounds like corrupted file. Haven't you tried a reinstall of IL2?

Hi Hornet, I got that same error message all the time for the Finland winter map on my old computer a few years ago (4.07). When I installed it on a new computer the problem didn't occur for the Finland winter map nor any other map. I fly 4.12.2 now without any problems. I'm sorry I can't help you more with your problem.

Its somewhat of a RAM problem, as far as I experienced it myself. I suppose, you have a rather weak system? Try closing some processes and tasks in the background. Or - additionally - install some more RAM, if possible.
Any other map having this issue? Slovakia maybe?

I’m sorry I couldn’t answer earlier. I was busy with some other stuff. I haven’t tried to reinstall the game, but I can do that if needed. Every other map is working fine, inclusive Slovakia. I got Windows 7 64 bit with 2.0 GB memory. I don’t know if that’s much, but I will find out if it’s possible to install more RAM. My processor is Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU G530 @ 2.40GHz 2.40 GHz. I didn’t fine a file named "conf ini", just "conf". Here it is:

Could be low ram most systems are running @ 4 Gig min these days
![]() But Slovakia will be likely to show ram errors as well. Settings look ok except for HardwareShaders=0 under OGL can be HardwareShaders=1 for better water textures. ![]() Last edited by KG26_Alpha; 09-09-2014 at 03:31 PM. |

I changed HardwareShaders from 0 to 1 but I can’t see any difference. The water looks exactly the same as it did before
