Hey Phineas.

Here's a possibility. Did you change any hardware in between starts? The reason I ask is because I had taken my PC over to a friend's place over the weekend and had the exact same problem. You launch the game, see the kb.exe process in the task manager, and then nothing. No errors, no logs, nothing in Event Viewer.

However, now that I'm back at home it's starting fine again.

There were two things that changed while I was at my friend's: the monitor I was using, and my NIC card. I switched it to a wireless card while there. I'm thinking that when you activated your game originally, the registration may bind to something in your hardware, specifically the MAC address of your active network card. I'm assuming that when you start the game it queries the manufacturer's site to confirm your activation credentials and probably sends something that would identify you uniquely, such as your MAC address.

If you did change your network card, maybe change it back to the original and try again. Hope that helps. I know how frustrating it can be, especially when you're ignored by support.
