The demo was great and I purchased the game as a result. I went through the Atari website, paid, and received all the confirmation emails with the game serial number.
After the download, I went to activate the product. I copied the serial number out of the web page confirmation and via my e-mail confirmation. Neither code (both the same actually) would allow me to activate the game. Not sure if this is an Atari, Digital River, or King's Bounty problem. I legitimately purchased the game, but cannot activate it with the given serial number. Is there a community fix or am I missing something? Thanks for any response. |

Hello all,
I purchased the DVD game today. It was the only copy the store had. I installed the game without any error messages or problems. When I try to run the game, (with the DVD inserted) I get a popup message, "could not write license data Please contact customer support for further instructions" What does this mean? I am thinking it doesn't sound good. My system meets or exceeds all recommended requirements.... Any help is appreciated... Tabbi |

I am having the same problem and I'm quite ticked off about it. I sent off an email to Digital River but who knows when I'll hear back from them. I never even received an activation code. All I got was a serial number that doesn't work.
Nice to see I'm not the only person who's had this problem. Now let's see how long it takes to fix it. Last edited by OmegaDestroyer; 09-25-2008 at 01:20 AM. |

I have experience something unsual ... a bug
![]() When you are talking to a npc and he requires a response (world) and you are attacked at the same time, the locks up. You cannot save, but you can load (and guess what? ... correct... last up to date save I have is autosave... wich is like 30mins old... ) |

I'm having a problem where the game doesn't start. It installed fine, I click the icon to start the game, I hear the DVD drive spinup, I see the disc icon on my mouse cursor. Then the process just drops. I am playing on a laptop with XP Pro. I checked the readme file and my video card does support Pixel Shader 2.0.
Other games work fine like EQ2, WoW, and Civ4. Anyone have an idea to the problem? |

Hey guys,
i initially had the same problem BUT...the serial number that you received will activate the game. You need to enter the serial number into the Middle section of the page where it says online activation. If you try the offline activation it will give you an error message saying the serial number is not valid. Hope this works for you. cheers, DW |

Thanks, but I've tried that. Doesn't work. All I get is a message that says:
Status: Activation Failed -server error- wrong/invalid serial. My serial is a 16 digit code that doesn't do anything. This is really disappointing. ![]() Last edited by OmegaDestroyer; 09-25-2008 at 05:14 AM. |

Nevermind, I found updated drivers for the video card.

you need to enter all of them. And if you are copy-pasting, make sure you don't copy any extra spaces. |

I've tried all that. It just doesn't work. Thankfully Atari got back to me and the offline activation code is being emailed to me. Hopefully that fixes things.
