What a beautiful and sleak beast with its whistling powerplant! Long live this ol' chap.

Thank you...I posted in hopes that the mod soundman can finally after years, include the rightful supercharger sound in a PC simulator, here's hoping! ![]()

OK, but besides watching that nice old warbird fly, the goal is to get the sound right with the supercharger.

LOL, all the complaints about the music and rightly so...but I think that the music was a part of/in the original DVD documentary, as seen in the credits.

Beautiful plane but what a 'hairy' landing at the end. Did the pilot remember a spare pair of trousers?

I admit I don't have much experience on soft field landings in tail draggers, and it's a long time since I have been behind the controls of a light plane, but my comments were based on the approach of about 30 degrees left of the centre line, crabbing and side slipping just before touch down, the final kick on the rudder to get the plane lined up with the runway - touch down on one wheels and ploughing through puddles and the rough nature (in general) of the paddock he landed on!
Maybe I should stick to Cessna's and Pipers! you know if I sell my children I just might be able to afford to get my currency back! ![]() Last edited by Skoshi Tiger; 08-12-2013 at 01:27 AM. |
