That's it??? No mod/$bob/maps... thing? I just create a folfer in my game folder, call it whatever I want and drop inside it MAPMODS folder??? (Yes, I know how to do the shortcut thing)

yes, download it. and paste and copy my desert mod folder into il2 root.

We are talking about Il2 Cliffs of Dover, right? I did it and it did not work

I mean it's obvious, how could it possibly work? It has to be:
My game folder
/Desert(that's the name I chose)
/$bob (or $core)
/maps?
I don't know how it follows. Remember this is a mod originaly for IL2 1946, so the readme is useless

You have to donwload this

and copy and paste all files into your il2 root dir
now create a shortcut of your launcher exe
right click on that and add - mod=desert at the end of the line

Wait. Oh wow... There's something quite strange going on... I know you gave me link a few minutes ago, and i click it and it downloaded a 39 mb file called desert_indexed. And now I compare this llink that you just gave me with the one i am talking about and they are the same. W h a t t h e h e l l o.O Anyways, I'm downloading this one you just gave me, it's 172 mb so it's going to take a while for me. I'll let you know if it works.
