Default Slow escort

I created a mission with 9 Ju88 taking off and meeting their escort of 9 Bf109, then flying together to the target and back. Bf109’s are spawned by a pass through trigger. I set every fighter’s waypoint as “escort”, target the bomber’s group (I noticed anyway that in default missions in the waypoint’s windows beside the voice “target” is the name of the group escorted, not so in my case). I set the bomber’s speed at 300 Kmh, fighter’s at 350 Kmh, same level 3000 m.. When I play (I fly a bomber), the two groups meet at the right point and fly the same route, but the fighters are much slower than the Ju88’s. The distance between the two groups rises costantly, and when Spitfires arrive, Bf109’s are maybe 30 km behind. I let you imagine the massacre. Is there any further instruction to let the fighters keep contact with bombers?

Try "normal flight" instead of “escort” WPs. Maybe it helps. Set speed and alt for every WP.

It seems that the problem can be solved assigning different levels to the two groups. I set the fighters at 3500 m. and now they stay much closer.
