Ice dragons keep crashing

Does it happen to anyone else? I cannot finish the dragon's den battle in Verlon because whenever one of my units attacks these dragons, the game crashes to desktop and reports the following error:

Yea happens to a lot of people. Go to the Bug Fixes Thread...its a sticky at the top and download the file and put it in your addons folder and it should fix a lot of bugs that are in the game. It is what I had to do to beat the game cause you will have to fight some Ice Dragons later on to progress the story. It should explain how to do it in the Bug Fixes Thread if you have anymore questions if not link another and Ill try to help.

I did see the bugfix in that thread, however the download links are down due to the latest patch and I don't know how/where to edit that myself.

You may have to wait a day or two I tried it after the patch and everything seem to work fine besides some funny viewing distance bug on one island but that could have been there before. But at this point you should not need to have to kill an ice dragon for a long time and there should only be a couple fights with ice dragons till you get close to the end of the game.
